Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Intro


In day 1, students will learn to design, build, and upload a website using Dreamweaver. In Day 2, you will learn to develop professional-looking websites using the advanced features of Adobe® Dreamweaver® CS3.

Performance-Based Objectives:

  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • work in Code view using the coding features of Dreamweaver.

Adobe Flash CS3 Intro
Adobe® Flash® CS3: Level 1 is the appropriate course for you if you need to create web pages or web page components that contain text, graphics, and animation, and that will display correctly in almost every browser on most computing platforms.

Course Objective:

You will create Flash-based movies that contain graphics, text, and animations.


Target Student:
A professional who wants to develop multimedia and distribute it on the web for electronic communications. Target customers are advertising agencies, marketing agencies, production houses, and design- or media-focused departments within larger corporations.

Prerequisites:
To get the most out of this course, students should be familiar with using the Internet with Internet Explorer; familiarity with other browsers is a plus. Having a basic understanding of HTML and design and media applications, such as Fireworks is helpful.

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • explore the types of applications you can build, how the user interface can be used, and how to create Flash movies.
  • create and manipulate graphics in your Flash document.add text and Flash components to your Flash document.
  • animate graphics using different techniques.
  • Add interactivity to your Flash document using buttons.
  • work with movie clips.

  • add video to a movie for creating dynamic animations in Flash.

Adobe Fireworks CS3

You have probably worked with some of the web design applications to create graphics for the web. However, you would now like to have better control over editing vector and bitmap graphics and also make web graphics appear the way you had intended. In this course, you'll work with some of the tools and features of Fireworks 8 to create and edit vector and bitmap graphics, apply interesting effects, as well as add graphical text to web pages.

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • create vector graphics.
  • transform vector images and apply Live Filters.
  • enhance bitmap images.
  • optimize graphics for the web.
  • create hotspots for images and link them to web pages.
  • explore the techniques of slicing to optimize sections of a web page.

Adobe Coldfusion 8
You already know how to create static websites using HTML. Now you want to expand your capabilities as a web developer in order to create web applications that you can't create in HTML. In this course, you will add dynamic components to your static web pages by applying ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML) and posting pages to a ColdFusion server.

Course Objective:

You will build and deploy dynamic web applications using ColdFusion.

Target Student:
The target student for this course is someone who is trained or experienced in HTML who is tasked with creating dynamic web pages for their company using Adobe® ColdFusion® 8.

Prerequisites:
Experience with HTML and Dreamweaver CS3. It would be helpful to understand programming fundamentals including flow control, variables, operators, functions, parameters and arrays.

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • add dynamic elements to a web page.
  • build dynamic site navigation into an existing website.
  • build a ColdFusion form.
  • add interactive elements to the web page.
  • deploy a website for public viewing.
